Mit der neuen Vectra VL macht HP neueste Technologien wie Intel 440LX Chipset, AGP Grafik, schnellen SDRAM Speicher und Ultra ATA Festplatten auch für den Standard-Büroarbeitsplatz verfügbar. Die VL ist wahlweise mit einer optionalen Remote Power On, Remote Wake Up 100BT Ethernet LAN Karte erhältlich. Des weiteren können RPO, RWU LAN-Karten von Herstellern wie 3Com, Intel und IBM verwendet werden.
