Frontpage 2003 und OneNote2003 sind in keiner Office-Edition enthalten und nur als separate Produkte (wie Visio etc.) erhältlich.
Eine separate (VBA-) Developer-Edition ist nicht mehr verfügbar, für Entwickler sind die moderneren Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) vorgesehen.
Die Professional-Editionen enthalten XML (Extensible Markup Language)- und IRM (Information Rights Management)-Unterstützung.
Der in früheren Versionen verfügbare MS-Photoeditor ist in OFF2003 nicht mehr enthalten, dafür sind MS Picture Manager, MS Document Imaging und MS Document Scanning enthalten.
